- Training is a combination of courses "GSM - Network Principles and Signalling (TS2G-B-01)" and "GSM - Scenarios (TS2G-B-02)"
- Structure of the GSM network - functionality of its parts and how they interact
- Network nodes and their functions, network interfaces
- Radio interface, physical and logical channels
- Network security - authentication and ciphering
- Description of basic procedures: Registration into the network, Mobile Originating / Terminating Call, Mobile Originating / Terminating SMS, Handover, Roaming, Location Update
- Basic principles of signalling
- Protocols used in the GSM network - task of the protocols
- Dedicated scenarios describing GSM network functionality
- Individual solution of selected scenarios
