  • Understanding of GPRS signalling (e.g. Course “Signalling in the GPRS Network” from our course list)

  • New concepts in the architecture of UMTS-CN R4, R5, R6 and R7
  • Comparison of architecture and protocols in R99, R4, R5, R6 and R7
  • Protocols used in the UMTS-CN network - task of the protocols, messages, parameters and procedures
  • Explanation of signalling procedures: Mobile Originating / Terminating Call in R4; Mobile Originating / Terminating Call in R5; Web browsing
  • Real signalling traces - how to solve problems using signalling analysis
