Training Target
  • Understanding of signalling in the GPRS network - focused on core network
  • Students learn to analyse signalling and use it for solving problems
Who Should Attend
  • Persons who need to understand the functionality of the core portion of the GPRS network in more detail
Prerequisites
  • Understanding of GSM signalling (e.g. Course “Signalling in the GSM Network” from our course list)
Content
  • Signalling as a control mechanism for the network
  • Basic principles of signalling and protocol structure
  • Information to be exchanged on particular interfaces
  • Protocols used in the GPRS network - tasks of the protocols, messages, parameters and procedures
  • Complete signalling procedures explained on real signalling traces: Mobile Originating / Terminating SMS; Web browsing; Routing Area Update
  • Real signalling traces - how to solve problems using signalling analysis
Training Environment
  • Max. 12 students per course
  • Training materials are provided
  • The course may be adapted in content according to customer needs, adaptations not requiring modification of training materials are provided at no extra charge (-C,-S)
