Training Target
  • Understand a technical basic of the Diameter protocol, which is used for the management of 4G, LTE and IMS networks and 3G charging, policy deployments and routing
Who Should Attend
  • Persons who would like to obtain a basic technical overview of Diameter and Diameter Routing Agent (DRA), Interworking Function (IWF), and Diameter Edge Agent (DEA)

  • Role and functions of the Diameter protocol in mobile networks
  • Diameter agents (Relay, Proxy and Redirect)
  • Description of Diameter interfaces
  • Diameter based functionalities (PCRFs, PCEFs, HSS, etc.)
  • Diameter routing agent (DRA) as a new entity in the network architecture
  • Interworking Diameter - Diameter and Diameter - legacy protocols (SS7) - IWF
  • Diameter Edge Agent (DEA) for roaming and interconnect
  • Diameter security function
